When I attempt to open a solution in Visual Studio, if the solution is under RTC source control, I will get an error. First I get the error, "An error occurred registering this project with source control." Then I will get "SCM.exe has stopped working". And then Visual Studio becomes unresponsive.

The RTC plugin version is 6.0.2. The Visual Studio version is 2015 Professional.

I have also seen 500 java.lang.NullPointerException errors. The request URI is http://localhost:65362/service/com.ibm.team.filesystem.client.rest.IFilesystemRestClient/FetchResourceProperties

Reinstalling Visual Studio and the RTC plugin did not help.


I was only able to resolve this by re-imaging the computer and doing new installs of Visual Studio and the RTC plugin.
