Using DNG Templates

 Ok - so DNG has two types of template .. Project and Process. Really simple noob question, what are they for and how do use/apply them?

Mark,

Hi we are using DNG with config Management and components:  so for us it's all about the "Component Templates". This may open up a load of other questions!  depending on your version.

The Component Template contains the core construct of Artifacts, Attributes, Data Types Links, Link Types, Link Validity etc.

We also have "Artifiact Templates" which help us to give a format, sections and headings to our Modules when they are created.

Hi Mark,
Process template includes different components such as Overview, Timelines, Roles, Permissions, Access Control, Configuration Data and Process Description. Each of these components can be customized according to your project needs.

Project templates can be defined to include many kinds of project information such as artifacts, artifact templates, artifact types and attributes, links between artifacts, link types, folder structure, tags, and shared saved filters.
