How to create RTC work item template that references parent id in the summary field

I have created a template that creates a defect and a child task. I would like the summary field of the child task to reference the parent defect. How do I do this?

I don't believe you can do this in the template. The summary reference will need to reference a work item ID, and the ID of the work item instantiated from the template is not known. You could write a custom follow-up action the add such an entry to the Summary field.
