RTC/Report Builder : Download or Querying the History tab

Hello Team,

In RTC, we are trying to build a report for Defects and Feature (Feature is a custom work item type) work items where we need to read specific lines in the history tab. So, is that possible for us to read or download the history tab using RTC Queries or Report Builder. If there are any other options to achieve this, please let me know.

Report Builder might be able to help you with some of this. Under the 'Choose an Artifact' section you'll see 'Work Item History' and this contains all the changes that were made to each workitem.

The caveat is that the data warehouse does not contain 100% of the work item fields (such as Description), so it depends on what you are looking for.

How can I download the Comments from the History tab of Work Items or generate a report which provides the history (comments, status, etc...) of work Items? All of the data items which appear on the History Tab:

Comments [#1]	(Brooks Baker, Febr 2019) - ....request change to the application to make it both evergreen and inclusive of all information that customers need to qualify to start, and to continue yearly. Currently the application has some deficits, among them: · Maximum income should be excluded entirely from the print application and presented only on the website so regular updates are not needed anymore and to implement version control which doesn’t currently exist (we are aware of three different versions “out there” and that is probably confusing to customers.) · There is no mention of yearly requalification requirement or process- this should be included and stated clearly · Streamlining and simplifying of content language (must we refer to rental and dividend income with a low income audience? Does this section need to be so micro-specific?)
