Unable to see any progress in a Plan View

Gaston Williams (81126) | asked Oct 15 '09, 12:45 p.m.
I'm setting up a new project area with a new iteration plan.

I have created a project area iteration plan with work items in it. I have filled in the Estimate and Time Spent fields for the work items.

However the progress indicators on the plan show empty. I see the note "Progress: 0/82h Estimated 100%" underneath a white bar.

I went in and changed some of the work items to closed state. I'd like to know how to see the red/green progress bar with some hours showing as complete but I still see the same empty progress indicator.

What do I need to do to see progress greater than 0?

I might be that all work item types are marked as top-level types. Goto
the project area editor, select the Process Configuration tab and expand
the node Project Configuration > Configuration Data > Planning >
Top-Level Work Item Types. Hourly progress is reported on *none* top
level work item types only.

Thanks, Johannes, that did the trick!
