how to copy attribute values from one workitem to another?

Hi All,

I have two work items Release and Defect.

In release work item, I have fields called Release number and dependencies both are text fields, whatever the value which is there in dependency we have same value in Planned for. for ex:- FA-1.1 and IS-1.1

If a defect is created with planned for as FA-1.1, I want to copy Release number from "Release" workitem and paste it to Defect's Dependencies field.

how can I achieve this?
