Hi

 

Is there a method to validate an approver and the owner of a work item is a same person?

Secondly, can we do this validation against the approver and against another customer attribute field as well (say a custom attribute field - Beneficiary as contributor data type) ?

What is the validation supposed to do?

In general it is possible to write custom preconditions and follow up actions and prevent certain actions.

The validation is expected to shoot an error message if the owner and the approver are same. Trust its more clear now? If this is possible, appreciate if you could share a sample to achieve this and thereafter I will try to construct more from there. Thanks DK
