Duplicate work items with child tasks

Is it possible to duplicate a work item while also duplicating all child items? For eg.

Story 1 - 3 child tasks

Duplicate Story- Duplicated 3 child tasks.

I know you can use a work item template, but I want to know if the duplicate option on the work item will allow the duplication of all items (including child items).

Leesen,
out of the box this is not implemented. You would have to write a custom plugin e.g. on work item save to clone all children of a story as it becomes duplicated and link them to the duplicated story.

What should happen with work items linked the original children (and further down the chain)?
I have not checked but the WCL tool of Ralph Schoon might be another alternative.
