The rest API is not returning consistent data

Good Day,

I have a customer that uses the rest API extensively for reporting. They seem to have picked up a bug. They have 2 different work items they are looking at, requesting the exact same fields. However, the one work item returns the <teamArea/> tag with data and the the other work item has no <teamArea/> tag at all. Both work items are in the exact same project area so am not sure what could be causing this?

Any advise would be greatly appreciated.

Are these two work items of the same work item type?
