RTC-Gerrit/Git Integration - ENOTFOUND error when trying to push

Dudley Thomas (41614) | asked May 01 '18, 8:49 a.m.

 trying to integrate RTC with Gerrrit using ref-update (renamed in Gerrit to commit-received) and ref-updated hooks. I have this working in our QA environment but it fails in out PROD environment. Both server running Ubuntu and should be the same. However, there is an obvious difference. When I try to push, it fails with the following error:

ValidatePush VERBOSE doValidateWithRTC(): encoded data = ''
RTC ERROR invokeRTCService(): Error while executing request { [Error: getaddrinfo ENOTFOUND] code: 'ENOTFOUND', errno: 'ENOTFOUND', syscall: 'getaddrinfo' }
Error: getaddrinfo ENOTFOUND

It appears that it cannot resolve a hostname. Any help would be appreciated.

 Never mind. Solved it. Turned out to be a special char in a config file.
