Referring to the below help:

Token consumption

Multiple roles can be assigned to a single user. For example, a user can have a contributor role most of the time which consumes 5 tokens, and sometimes a developer role which consumes 8 tokens. In this case, the tool holds both the lesser cost contributor and the higher cost developer roles for a period of time (the default is 30 minutes), and then releases one of the roles depending on the user's activity. For a complete list of token consumptions by roles, refer to Table 1.

If a user has RQM Contributor and Professional licenses assigned(or contributor and developer for RTC and so on, using RQM as an example)
According to the table, RQM contributor will consume 5 tokens and professional needs 10 tokens.

1. When the user only do read access to the test assets, would the user only consume 5 tokens or not?

2. when the user needs to create test assets, do they only need 10 tokens or not?
From the above, it seems to suggest that the user needs to have 5 tokens first because they need to access to the project area first in order to create new assets. Then another set of 10 tokens required because they need to create new test assets, which means 15 tokens required when the user starts creating test assets. Then after 30mins, 5 tokens may be released. is this understanding correct?

3.  Another question is connector, is says:

The Connector Client Access License is to service Rational Quality Manager adapter connections, import/export capability, and ClearQuest connections. This user ID does not allow web access into Rational Quality Manager.

So this connector does not really check out any token, is that right?

Appreciate if anyone can shed some lights on this.

Answering my own questions after researches and testing, here is what I found

1. when user with QM contributor and professional licenses, if user only views the test assets, it will check out contributor license only= 5 tokens
2. when user created a test assets, professional license will be checked out=another 10 tokens used
there will be no release of contributor license, now 15 tokens in total will be used
3. after 30mins, if no activity, both license will be expired, no tokens used
So long as there is creation, 15 tokens will be checked out until logout or expired(default 30mins)
