WinMerge as external diff - extra command line

Duncan Lilly (66104) | asked Oct 02 '09, 8:24 a.m.
Hurrah for 2.0.0.1! Now we can use a proper diff tool!

Seriously, thank you for the option to use an external diff tool - it really is a vast improvement to our working routine.

There is one small issue with the default settings for WinMerge - the parameters should include the "/u" option. From the WinMerge help:
/u prevents WinMerge from adding either path (left or right) to the Most Recently Used (MRU) list. External applications should not add paths to the MRU list in the Select Files or Folders dialog.

If you don't include this option, your WinMerge history will rapidly be filled with RTCs temp compare files; replacing any paths you regularly use.

Duncan,

Thanks for the info. I've created

to request that the option be added.
