 Hello All,

I have added below users in my test project.
1 scrum master and two team members named as A and B.

Scrum master created defect and assigned it to team member A.
As owned by field's value is "A" so team member A can view/start working on it. but problem is team member B also able to see what defect has been assigned to A and even he can edit fields too and saves it.

I don't want team member B to access/view/modify team member A's defect.

I am using CLM v6.0.3.

Any pointers will be helpful. Thanks in advanced :)

RTC is designed to help facilitate communication and NOT to make it harder.

Ownership is no criterion for allowing data hiding, read or write access. So what you want is not supported in the tool out of the box.

https://rsjazz.wordpress.com/2016/01/27/manage-access-control-permissions-for-work-items-and-versionables/ in the section The Rules – Work Items explains what can be done to read access restrict work items.
https://jazz.net/help-dev/clm/topic/com.ibm.team.workitem.doc/topics/t_restricting_access_to_work_items_web.html
is the related help page.

Modification etc. is role based - ownership is no role, although I would agree it would be smart to have a synthetic one. Please create a RFE.

You can create advisors to create custom behavior. see https://rsjazz.wordpress.com/2014/05/26/only-owner-can-close-workitem-advisor/ for an example.

Note that the enhancement request for creating a synthetic Owner role is: https://jazz.net/jazz/web/projects/Rational%20Team%20Concert#action=com.ibm.team.workitem.viewWorkItem&id=88779

It's been around for a long time (note the 5 digit work item id), but if you want this functionality, it would be good to add a comment indicating you are still interested in it.
