"File conversion" required when exporing to MS Wor

Hi,
I have a business process diagram in RRC, which I have exported into MS Word.
Once it is saved into the directory, when I lunch MS Word, a window appears requesting "file conversion".
The preview of this file conversion window shows an XML content, showing UTF-8 as encoding.
Regardless the option I select, I always get the XML content, but not the Word content I'm expecting.
If I send the .doc file to another person, he can open the doc without problems, and he can see the title and the diagram.
What I should do to see the same?
Thanks,
Claudia Callegari

What version of MS Word do you have?
The Export to Word feature requires at least Word 2003.

oooopssss, I have Word 2002, SP3.
Is there any way to export a diagram into image file only (gif, jpg, or similar)? Or any plan to have this feature in the future? If so, when?
Thanks for the quick response.

The short answer is no. I'm checking around to see if there are any alternatives.

One possibility is you could simply install the 2003 version of Word Viewer.
You can also view the artifact in the web ui and use the browser options to copy the image of the diagram.

Thanks! It worked with the 2003 viewer.
Now, on the other side... sorry for this basic question... but... what do you mean by "view the artifact in the web ui"? How can I do that?

If you are using the 2.0 Beta2, you can access the server using a web browser by going to, for example,
https://localhost:9443/rdm/web/rrc

Just replace localhost if you have a remote server.

If you are running 1.x, then there is a prior beta (from December I believe) that also provides for web access to the server, but I'm not sure what the web address was for that one, or the full details of how to install that beta alongside your 1.x installation.

Hi, this was a rather old thread and there have been a lot of changes since the 1.x/2.x releases. Can you give me a bit more detail about what you are wanting to see?

I am not aware, in 3.x, of any other export format except for pdf and MS Word, but I will ask around. Can you give me an idea of what you mean in terms of it being too small and how much bigger you need it to be?

Also, which specific 3.x version are you using?
