RRC + DB2 - requirements

Bruno Braga (48013621) | asked Sep 29 '09, 9:21 a.m.
RRC 1.0 DB2 requirements:

* DB2 9.5.1 Workgroup Server Edition
* DB2 9.5.1 Enterprise Server Edition
* DB2 9.1.2

----------------

RRC 2.0 New & Noteworthy:

Having a separate DB2 index database is no longer necessary

Now can I use RRC 2.0 with DB2 Express 9.5?

Express is not an officially tested or supported configuration, though it may work. Is there a particular reason you prefer Express over the other products? You can also use the Fastpath install to configure with Derby out of the box.

We already have an environment with RTC + RQM using DB2 9.5 Express.

Implement this migration to DB2 Enterprise would be complicated (time and $). So in this case the ideal would be keep DB2 Express.

obs: the question is about DB2 Express, not DB2 Express-C (free), ok?

I suggest simply trying it as it likely will just work, but it is not in the list of supported platforms for 2.0. You can enter an RFE to request adding official support.
