API to compare artifacts in Rational DOORs Next Generation
Hello!
I have a request from customers to realize comparison of some artifacts in Rational DOORs Next Generation (v6.x) in a similar way as the artifacts from various snapshots are compared to each other.
Question: Is there a way to use this capability externally anyhow but for selected artifacts in RDNG? Does exist this capability to do something like this externally?
A sample of typical use case:
1. User selects two artifacts in the list of RDNG artifacts
2. User clicks some button (for example, on a custom OpenSocial widget)
3. System compares the selected documents and show their differences in RDNG comparator

Accepted answer
There is no such capability today except for Collections (there is a "compare collections" feature in the product).
However, this is something that could be implemented using the client extension API:
