In RTC, is it possible to share a plan in readonly mode ?

  Hi,

I want to share with my team a plan that will be visible in a dashboard.
But..., I do not want team members to be able to change the plan but just look at it. Is it possible ?
A kind of read only access to the plan.

Thanks for you answers.

Hi Olivier,

Permissions will control who can edit / create the plan etc.

If I want to share a plan view in Read Only (sort of format) then I add the Plan Widget to a Dashboard and provide a nice Plan view for "Stakeholders",  "Users" etc.

not sure if this helps - but a good option to share the structure of a plan but it's not editable etc.

Ok for permissions to  allow who (what profile) can edit/create/save, etc.
But not for a specific plan. :(
And I just want to make immutable the aspect (the view) of a plan in a state that others users cannot alter.

Thanks Matt for the very good idea of using a Plan View Widget in the dashboard.
I just created the plan, not shared it, and added a plan view widget in the dashboard, and it's work :)

There are permissions that allow (or not allow) to save plans.

Other than that, a plan is not a real thing like in MSProject. 99% of the data is just life work item data and when these
work items change the plan changes. So it does not really make so much sense to ask for read only plans.

In a plan, the user can change the plan type,  the view as field, the display columns, the group by, the sort, etc... And replace the existing plan with those changes.

That's why i'm looking for a way to share it in "readonly" mode.

So, I "need" this feature !!! :)

You may need to look at permissions etc. if this is causing problems
