Audit logs are blank

Michael Alberda (2311447) | asked Oct 10 '17, 8:06 a.m.

Hi,

Our client has a requirement in which they need to provide auditors with detailed user activity information. Login time, what was accessed etc. I have found a few work items, including and RFE that explains how audit logging is enabled in v6.0.3 onwards. I have installed an instance of v6.0.3 and can see the audit logging enabled in the jts log4j properties. However, after modifying a few work items in RTC, the jazz.log in the audit folder is still blank.

Please advise what is required to enable this for RTC?

Any assistance would be appreciated. The work item/wiki links are below:

Thankyou,
Regards,
Michael.

jts log4j properties? What about the ccm log4j.properties? Once you uncomment the audit section in the appropriate log4j, remember to use https://jazz.net/forum/questions/97809/how-do-i-reload-the-log4j-settings-without-restarting-the-server-self-answer

Hi Ulf,

The articles suggested we only uncomment in the jts log4j. ccm log4j does not have the audit section by default. I have added it but am still not receiving the data I require.

Are you aware of any other way of obtaining user activity. i.e Michael updated work item 1234 on 10/1017?.

Thanks,
Regards,
Michael.

Ah, ok, work items not SCM file audit.
Yes, jts log4j and you also need to enter a couple of audit events in the advanced properties as per the wiki entry. Which ones did you enter?
