TPM integration in RQM

Hi everbody,

I'm trying to integrate the Tivoli Provisioning Manager into the RQM right now, but it doesn't work like it should.

I installed the RQM 2.0 using an DB2 Database and LDAP for user authentification, so far everything worked fine. After that I installed (extracted) the TPM/RTLM integration adapter to the installation/server folder and adapted the integration_config.xml as described in the
RQM help.
After Reseting and Restarting the Jazz-Server I tried to synchronize the TPM Inventory with the RQM but it doesn't work.
The rqm.log shows me the following failure:

The TPM shows an exception decrypting the password, but i don't know why.

I hope someone can help me with this problem

The TPM shows an exception decrypting the password, but i don't know
why.

I hope someone can help me with this problem

I finally found the problem by myself. I used a wrong user for the discovery that couldn't log on....
I've discovered all available systems and the inventory is now visible in the RQM and as well the Automations.
But now I have another problem, i can't reserve one of the machines though I've the permissions. If i try to change the operational status of a system in the rqm i get the error: "External provider functionality accessed through RQM but none are configured: No provider with virtualization ability is active" in the rqm console
Do i need a seperate workflow the get these changes synchronized with the TPM. Any idea?

Glad to hear you got past your TPM Discovery problem.

Now, on to Reservations and changing Operational Status.
First off, that error in the console is a red herring and can be ignored.

Does your user have a Lab Management CAL (Client Access License) assigned? That is needed for modifying reservations.

RQM will not let you reserve a machine if it is already reserved. Does the machine have existing reservations? Is the reservation button disabled, or does an error occur when trying to reserve?

When you change operational status and save, I assume you see that the save fails. There should be a "red X" in the upper right hand corner of the view that will contain a text message, possibly if you hover over it. What does that say?

i got the licenses from the xtreme leverage website and my user has a license for all 4 possibilities (RQM Quality Manager, RQM Test Lab Manager, RQM Viewer, RQM Connector)

I can't find any reserved Resource after the discovery. The reserve button is disabled in the View Lab resources panel.
In the View Machine Panel i can make a Reservation, but that is still not visible in the View Lab resources panel. In the Reservations Panel instead I can see it.
The change of the operational status or something else works now, the mac adress was parsed without any dashes from the TPM, so the RQM said: "Incorrect values" when i wanted to save.

In the View Lab Resources view, you must have a machine selected, via the check boxes on the left hand side, in order to enable the "reserve" button. Maybe that's the problem?
I will submit a defect in the TPM adapter to provide MAC addresses in the correct format.
