Why are my git commits not showing up under links in the eclipse client

When I add a work item to a commit message in Github Enterprise, the git commit link gets added to the appropriate work item.   In the web client, I see git commits in my links, and in the history I see that the link has been added.

When I go to the same work item in the eclipse client, I still see the link has been added under history, but I don't see anything on the links tab.

Do I need a client side plugin to see these links?

I also would like to see the Commit links in the WI when I use eclipse RTC client.
It's something missing or we have to ask for a new feature enhancement?
