Hi,
We have received a new requirement from one of the project team asking for the configuration management to do the version control for Test cases.
We are using CLM suite of products. (RDNG, RTC and RQM) Can some one suggest me a right solution ?
Note: The team currently use Test Case and Test Script in RQM.
Regards
Anoop

Please see: https://jazz.net/help-dev/clm/index.jsp?topic=%2Fcom.ibm.rational.test.qm.doc%2Ftopics%2Fc_about_cm.html This adds configuration management to RQM. Please note that this is not to be taken lightly.
See https://jazz.net/help-dev/clm/index.jsp?topic=%2Fcom.ibm.jazz.vvc.doc%2Ftopics%2Fc_cm_considerations.html for what to consider - there are effects. This is part of Global Configurations https://jazz.net/help-dev/clm/index.jsp?topic=%2Fcom.ibm.rational.gcapp.doc%2Ftopics%2Fc_app_admin_task_flow.html Note that this is requires an organization to be mature and the users to be educated and enabled to actually use this capability successfully. Usually only Developers do versioning of artifacts and are trained in considering configuration management. A lot of other roles are not and need to be enabled. This also adds a fair amount of complexity to the usage model, as far as I am aware. |
