Create custom .cfg files for RQMExcelImporter

Leesen Padayachee (9962120) | asked Nov 18 '16, 1:57 a.m.
Hi

We do our automation tests offline, and get them into an xml, can we some how export this xml into RQM  and update all the TCER's that have been created for automation? In the samples that come with the RQMExcelImporter I do not see any samples that will allow us to import from an excel sheet into specified TCER's. Can a custom .cfg be written?

Thanks
Leesen

Hi, Leesen

If offline test is from RQM 'Run Offline' to export TCER to a rqms file, then using RQMExcelImporter to import offline, it will generate a xls and cfg file automatically. You then update the results and add comments there and using the same cfg to upload the result/comments into the same TCER. You can only do this one by one as test suite offline run is not yet supported.
If you use different way to do offline test, then possibly you may try to link the existing TCER with the result(suppose the result is in an xls file) using LinkExisting() key. I haven't tried this scenario before though.

Thanks
