RTC Enumeration list multi select field maxed out.

Gary Mizner (212) | asked Jul 15 '16, 2:25 p.m.
I currently have a custom attribute in RTC that we are using as an enumeration list with a multi select field. We have been using this attribute for 3.5 years before running into this issue. We have hit a limit on the amount a user can select from the multi select drop-down. We believe this is due to the enumeration list having a medium string attribute type limit. We need the ability to select more than 1000 bytes maximum in the multi select drop-down. Is there any way to work around this? Here is the error we are receiving:

No one responded.  Is there a way to change the enumeration limit to Large String of would that just be too big and impact DB size?

I think it is not about the DB size, but rather the metadata. It is not as simple as just change the data type - all applications accessing the RTC data need to adapt to such change, which one may consider as a "design change".

This cannot be changed as per:
Allow string size for enumeration List type to be configurable
