Anyone tried RTC 2 with a z/OS version of DB2?
Hi
Has anyone tried using the RTC 2.0 server running on Windows, but using a DB2 database on z/OS? As long as the version of DB2 is appropriate (9.x) - I would assume this would work, or am I missing something.
I realize that this is not a supported configuration, but wanted to check if anyone had tried this
thanks
anthony

One answer
Anthony,
I would be surprised if this just worked (unless the RTC team is
claiming support for DB2 on z/OS). The syntax and SQL for DB2 z/OS is
slightly different than DB2 LUW (Linux/Unix/Windows) and most programs
do not work seamlessly across the two unless specifically designed for
it. I believe that you could use Db2 on z/Linux without any issues.
