RTC 2.0 Clinet installation problem on RSA 7.5.3

I ran into an installation problem.

I had old version of RTC installed on my laptop. I was trying to upgrade it to RTC 2.0. I upgraded the jazz server.

When I upgrade the client I got incompatibility error. I have a screen shot but I do not know how to attach it to this message.

My laptop has RSA 7.5.3 with Ifix 001.

How can I fix this?

This procedure has worked for me for upgrading the RTC client in RSA
7.5.3 to version 2.0:

* download standard version of RTC 2.0 client that includes
launchpad.exe:
https://jazz.net/downloads/rational-team-concert/releases/2.0/RTC-Eclipse-Client-2.0-Win32-Local.zip

* unzip and execute rtc\launchpad.exe; select "Launch IBM Installation
Manager to update existing product components", them "Install", then
"Rational Team Concert -- Client for Eclipse IDE" (version 2.0), then
"Use an existing package group", then "IBM Software Delivery Platform"
(i.e. package group where RSA is installed), and finally "Sametime 7.5.1
Integration Update Site" (select also this feature).

* upon starting RSA next time, a dialog box pops up, but for some reason
disappears again before "Migrate Now" can be selected (see "Migrating
repository workspace" in RSA help); therefore, complete migration by
selecting "Preferences" / "Team" / "Jazz Source Control" / "Repair Metadata"

Hi Christian, I am still seeing the same error. Now I am trying to uninstall previous version and install new version. Here is the error I get...

Joining this conversation rather late - so apologies if you have tried this already. Can you *uninstall* any and all RTC clients from RSA first. RSA shipped with a 1.0 client and you may have installed 1.0 by accident or design. After you are 100% sure you have no traces of the 1.0 client installed, then try installing 2.0.

hi guys, I found what was causing the problem. I had to uninstall another component in RSA 7.5.3 that got install in the previous upgrade. After the installation went through fine.
