RRDI and JRS
Good Day
We are using RTC v 5.0 and RRDi
We are looking at doing a version upgrade and have heard that RRDi is no longer compatible with future releases, and that JRS will now be the reporting tool to be used.
I would like to know how accurate this information is and if this is true how JRS compares with RRDi.
Thanking you in advance
Kind Regards
Glenn

Hi, Glenn
Some points to add: 1) you can now download Cognos BI from your company's password advantage site since v6.0.1. (don't need to contact support via PMR as suggested in the technote) 2) in the future version, there is a plan not to provide Cognos BI which means you only have option to use JRS 3) JRS is currently a focus for reporting and is evolved greatly version by version. So having a plan to transition from RRDI to JRS is very important for the consistency from now on and I would highly recommend to start with JRS even though you are considering to migrate RRDI reports for now. RRDI last stable release is 5.0.2. Starting in CLM 6.x, RRDI is no longer available. If you want to continue use Cognos reports you will need to migrate from RRDI to Cognos Business Intelligence and install the ALM Cognos Connector to integrate with CLM.
