Run Money that Matters sample in the sandbox
Hi, I am brand new to RQM and I need to learn it fast.I thought it would be best if I worked thru' the tutorials in the documentation.
Is it possible to run the Money that Matters sample in the sandbox? If yes, it needs my userid to have jazz admin privileges, how do I get that?
Thanks,
Neeta

Unfortunately with the way the cloud trials/sandboxes are setup now it is not possible to run the Money that Matters sample. There are complications with duplicate usernames & access permissions.

In that case, what is the next best way to try some samples in the cloud RQM? Can you point me to a User Guide to get started with creating projects on my own and learning RQM?
Thanks
Neeta
Hi Neeta,
A good place to start would be here: http://www.ibm.com/support/knowledgecenter/SSR27Q_6.0.2/com.ibm.rational.clm.doc/helpindex_clm.html (although the Money that Matters sample is a big part of these tutorials/scenarios)
In order to run the Money that Matters sample you would have to install and run an instance of CLM yourself.
We do not have specialized documentation/tutorials tailored specifically for users of our cloud trials at the moment. We've identified this as an important area of improvement, and we have plans in place in order to give new users a better experience when participating in one of our cloud trials. Some information related to Configuration Management on sandbox04 can be found here: https://jazz.net/sandbox04/setup/web/com.ibm.team.sandbox.app/data/ple-task-guide.pdf
Thanks for the reply, Martin. For installing the instance of CLM, I would need a server, database, etc. right? I cannot just install it on my PC, correct?
Thanks,
Neeta
You can install it on your PC just fine. The installer will ask you at some point whether you would like to install a more 'trial like' environment (using the included Derby database). I'd recommend going with that and selecting the express install.
Selecting one of the Web Installers at the top of the CLM 6.0.2 downloads page would be the quickest way to get started: https://jazz.net/downloads/clm/releases/6.0.2?p=allDownloads
Although this is a bit outside my area, other people on the forum could give you a much better answer for this!
Thank you, will give it a try.
