Our developers are experiencing frequent connection failures and disconnections in RTC 5.0.2 configured on LDAP and WAS 8.5. Developers use Visual Studio. Can anyone explain why exactly we are having this issue?

Error  :
CRRTC8500E: Server Error: CRJAZ0099E An HTTP error occurred when this URL was being accessed: http://hostname:80/ccm/service/com.ibm.team.scm.common.IScmService.
Error details: An existing connection was forcibly closed by the remote host.

Thanks

There could be numerous causes.   You don't indicate how frequent ( e.g. hours, minutes or seconds ), but things like the session duration usually don't manifest as connection error, rather the user must reauthenticate.

I would look at the WebSphere logs for ssl connnection ( i.e. hand shake failures ) or other kinds of network failures.  E.g. connection reset by peer.
