iFix Installation via patchApplyGlobal

Konstantin Blokisch (11) | asked Apr 20 '16, 4:11 a.m.
Hello,

there have been a few iFixes out recently and I am looking for a way to apply them to a bunch of CLM installations in a fast and convenient way. With the iFixes comes a readme describing a rather complicated way to apply the iFix.

On the other hand there is this description in the official CLM documentation which describes applying a patch as a one-step thing with repotools:

If there is such an easy way available I am wondering why the complicated way of applying the iFix is desribed in the readme? Can the iFix also be easily installed via repotools, or am I missing something?

Can someone please shed some light on this?

Thanks, Konstantin

The command is handy if you have an all-in-one environment. As far as I can tell, it only do the "copy" part of all the necessary works.

The readme.txt file contains all the required information, and can apply to all sorts of environment.
