CC/CQ connector integration

Gary, What versions of ClearCase are you planning on using with
TeamConcert?

As far as the CQ Connector goes, it will require CQ 7.0.1 or later. We're still not sure if anything needs to change to support CQ 7.1; we're hoping the same version works with both.

Q1. What version of CC/CQ is compatible with the M6 releaes?
Q2. How will the CC/CQ connector change when v7.1 CC/CQ comes out in June 08 which is roughly being released at the same time in the June 2008?

WRT the CC Connector:
Q1: In M4/beta2, the CC Connector is compatible with all CC V7.x
releases. For 1.0, we hope to be compatible with all currently
supported ClearCase releases.
Q2: There will be little functional change in the CC Connector between
beta2 and 1.0. Our main efforts are:
- improved performance
- improved robustness/restartability
- response to beta2 feedback
All of the CC Connector plans are on-line and accessible through
jazz.net, so you can see all the details as soon as we know them.

It was brought to my attention that when 1.0 ships in 2008, CC V6.x will
only have a few months of support left, so it would make more sense to
invest the ClearCase Connector development effort in other areas (such
as support for CCLT ... we currently require a dynamic view, which is
not supported by CCLT), rather than compatibility with CC V6.x.

If that is a problem for anyone, please let me know.
