How to add the comments and description in the JRS reports?

Dhanya Saseendran (8831421) | asked Jan 28 '16, 7:44 p.m.
Hi,
while creating the report in JRS 5.0.2, we are not able to get the comments and description field. Whereas these fields appear in the RTC queries without any issues.

Anyone knows if this is resolved in 6.0.1 as we are upgrading to this soon..

Thanks
Dhanya

Hello Dhanya,

Work item comments and description is not stored in the data warehouse (like most of the long text fields) for performance reasons, so they are not available in JRS using the data warehouse data source.

If you use the LQE data source (available from version 6.0) you can access the Work Item description, but not the comments.

Best Regards,

LQE in JRS 6.0 is technical preview only.  You would need JRS 6.0.1 in order to utilize the LQE to report on descriptions.

We have a story to track addition of comments to the LQE data: 368798: RTC: need to publish RTC workitem comments to LQE  Please subscribe and/or vote for it if you want to see this come into a future release.
