Hi All, If you're running or planning on upgrading to 2.0, there is a utility under the "extras" on the download page specifically for HP QC The only integration I have found for HP QC is for defect synchronization only. I'm looking at the option of migrating a rather large HP QC environment to RQM. HP QC is a great tool, but it is the worst at getting the data it stores out of it in any kind of reasonable format. |
For your information: Sogeti has developed a service which covers a migration from HPQC to RQM. Is it a simple program to extract and load? No because in HPQC you can store the tests in any way (to much flexibility). So you must define what to grab and how to store in RQM.
But be aware, it's not only a data conversion. The new platform gives new ways of working. Education is mandatory for the testers. But than you are on Jazz. You do have the posibilities to do real Risk Based testing, generate document (RQM/RPE), extract metrics (RQM CR/Insight), really integrate test with developement. Some more on this can be found on: http://business.vanlint5.nl/sogeti It can be done. Certainly with help of Sogeti. Comments No surprise nearly 4 years on, but that link's dead. I went to the Sogeti's website, but I find nothing in particular about migrating from HPQC to RQM.
Within ibm we have the ptc group. The migrate hpqc to rqm. But Sogeti is an alternative, i can establish contact.. |
My team have just done this, a bit ugly, I'll find out how.

There is an option from IBM Rational Software Services. Have your IBM representative access this link: http://ptc.hursley.ibm.com/ptcshop/software_ms_htrc.html
