What did I do wrong? I installed RMC 7.5.2 and upgraded to 7.5.3 succesfully. When I started Eclipse.exe or RMC.exe an error message was returned stating that I had to look into the log file.
I hardly could understand the technical content.
A few code lines lower I read the word license and something about expiration. Due to my experience with previous installations I knew how to get a permanent license and install it via Installation Manager.

Is this the normal procedure?

To be complete I have a couple of other Rational products and versions installed on my machine. Maybe that interfered with this RMC installation.
Would like to understand what went wrong.

This is not a forum dedicated to RMC. Maybe someone knows an answer, but the focus on this forum is around other products.

I assumed too it isn't Ralph, but where to go to then? And in general, is this forum also not meant for Eclipse related questions?

Google tells me to use this forum around RMC: https://www.ibm.com/developerworks/community/forums/html/forum?id=11111111-0000-0000-0000-000000001078

Well, this forum can be around Eclipse related questions, if in a context of a product we deal with here. General Eclipse related questions are likely better asked on the Eclipse forums http://www.eclipse.org/forums/? or on http://stackoverflow.com/

If you would have provided a bit more details from the log, someone might be able to come up with something.

Good luck!
