Hi All,

I am planning to Migrate current CLM 5.0.2(CCM,QM,RM) to CLM 6.0(CCM,RM,QM)
My current setup-
Server1- WAS 8.5.5 and CLM 5.0.2(CCM,QM,RM)
Server 2- DB2 10.5.0.4 database(CCM,QM,RM)

Please guide how to do live migration for same.

Hi Vijay, What do you mean by "live migration"?

 Hi Taki,

Without stop the CLM 5.0.2 services we have to migrate to CLM 6.0.

 Online Migration..

You can read about online migration here:
https://www-01.ibm.com/support/knowledgecenter/SSYMRC_6.0.0/com.ibm.jazz.install.doc/topics/c_online_migration_rtc.html?cp=SSYMRC_6.0.0&lang=en

Even with online migration, there is a chunk of upgrade work that must be done while the server is offline.

If you are considering using online migration, make sure that your 5.0.2 server has the latest iFix installed. There have been several fixes to online migration shipped in the iFixes

Ruby,

Why would the 5.0.2 server need an iFix for online migration to 6.0.x? Doesn't the online migration run the 6.0.x software, and it is that code that connects to the CCM database (via JDBC) and does the migration? I did not think the 5.0.2 application server is involved in the migration, so why would it need an iFix?

Thanks,
Greg
