How to view dependencies in RTC 5.0.2 using RTC feature

Aruna Kachakayala (112) | asked Dec 21 '15, 3:15 a.m.
Hi All,

We check dependencies in RTC 5.0.2 manually going thru each and every project.

Do we have any feature in RTC to find out dependencies.

What do you mean by "dependencies"?

hi Clemm,

Dependencies i am referring to we have single file checked in under different change sets.So in order to take build , we need all change sets to be resolved , but in practice all change sets will not be in resolved state. And as same file checked in both change sets where one is resolved and one not and we cannot take up build due to dependency of same file in both change sets.

And to check dependencies, we are putting lot of manual efforts.

Do we have any RTC feature to check the dependencies on file level.

Still need some clarification.   What do you mean by a change set being "resolved" or "being in a resolved state"?    A set of change sets can have "conflicts" (either branch or gap conflicts) ... is this perhaps what you are thinking of?   If so, then you would accept that set of change sets into a repository workspace, and the RTC Pending Changes view will notify you about any conflicts, and provides guidance for how to resolve the conflicts (by performing merges, discarding some of the change sets, or accepting additional change sets).   Note that for this meaning of the word "resolved" it is the conflicts of a set of change sets that are resolved ... not a change set being in the "resolved state".
