Jazz Build Engine, how to get a list of users and E-mail who checked in changes for a build?

Howdy...

I'm new to JBE and trying to use the API to get a list of people who checked in changes for a build.
I got an example from a colleague that identifies the latest build but that is all I got...

I have multiple "challenges",
I'm not sure which JBE is used, how do I check this on Linux ?
I was give a whole Eclipse project, I don't even know which API it includes, I tried googling for the API but have not found them. Where do I get the API documentation ?

And the most important question,
If I can get the build information through the API, is it possible to get a list of people who checked in changes for that build ?
I can do this in RTC, I know which links to click on but don't know how to relate back to the API...

Any help is greatly appreciated and a good start would be to point me in the direction of where I can find some documentation and tutorials...
