Cross Project Roll up
Hi
We are using RTC V 5.0
We have set up a master template and based all our projects on this template. Our environment is integrated requiring work items to be moved into and out of the different project areas.
We configure a "Parent" work item and keep that in the originating project area, thereafter we create the "child" work items and move those into the respective project areas for execution.
How do I get the metrics that are recored on the child work items in the respective project ares to roll up into the "parent" work item that is in the originating project area?
Metrics like "Time Spent" "Progress" etc
As always any and all assistance is greatly appreciated.

Roll up in plans across parent-child relationships is only supported within one project area as far as I know. It does not work across project area boundaries. https://rsjazz.wordpress.com/2012/07/31/rtc-update-parent-duration-estimation-and-effort-participant/ describes an approach that could potentially be used.
