Can I select a new template for an existing test case?

I'm new to RQM (5.0.2) and have created multiple test cases with a specific test case template. However, I need to change the test case template for the existing test cases. Is it possible to change the template? I have looked everywhere I can think of and cannot find an option to do this.

Hi, Karen

Unfortunately you can not change the template once you created the test case.
In fact, the built-in templates by default only show different sections and the total sections should be still the same.
If the existing TestCase need to be with different template(which mean the selected sections will be different), you
can open the test case, go to Manage Section and move the selected sections and available sections around to make it look like it is based on the expected template, although if you have to do that for many test cases, it will be a tedious work.

I hope this helps.

Hi Don, Thank you for your response. I was afraid this was the case and had already started the tedious task. Is there a way to request this as a feature? I've seen some other posts and it seems like something folks would want. Thank you for your time! Karen

Hi, Karen

You can raise enhancement request(RFE) in Jazz.net:
https://jazz.net/jazz02/web/projects/Rational Quality Manager#action=com.ibm.team.workitem.newWorkItem&type=enhancement

Or through RFE community in developerWorks:
