RTC with Clarity
![](http://jazz.net/_images/myphoto/de7e2a12d41e0cdf51ad9cda1413aae6.jpg)
Does anyone have any thoughts to share on the following.
If Clarity (a CA product) is a given for project and portfolio managament, how can I populate RTC timelines, workitems and plans from Clarity? How can I then track these RTC plans in Clarity?
Is there any integration known or conceivable, either from a business partner or from IBM? Is there a recommended approach to extend RTC 2.0 to provide these two integrations?
Is there an alternative recommendation, e.g. via another Rational product? Remember this is still assuming Clarity is a given.
Thanks, Ton van Velzen

About an alternative, I can think of using the future Rational Project
Management

when available.

Hi Ton,
I am also looking for any information about the possiblity between RTC and CA Clarity. My customer is using Clarity and is not willing to replace it.
Do you have any further information about a integration between RTC and CA Clarity?
Thanks
Martin

Martin, no news on this from my side. Unfortunately.

Hi guys,
I've found the same question here: https://jazz.net/forum/questions/47376/comparison-or-integration-with-clarity-niku
<thanks to Noud van Mullekom>
However there's no answer there either. For the moment it looks like we have to depend on 3rd party solutions like Kovair's Omnibus (http://www.kovair.com/index.php/omnibus-solutions/open-services-for-lifecycle-collaboration-oslc-integration), which looks pretty nice/has a nice story.
Also TaskTop say they have an OSLC integration between RTC and CA Clarity in one of their presentations, but they haven't released anything yet.
</thanks to Noud van Mullekom>
If I find anything, I'll keep you posted.
With kind regards,
Danny

Currently I am also working on the integration of CA's Clarity with RTC,and found that Kovairs's Omnibus Integration Platform is one of the ways.
But did not understand how do I go for a third party tool?
Is it that I will have to write a connector for it?
Is it that I will have to use the Rest API's?
How do I proceed further?

sorry, I don't understand what you are asking.
you have two choices I think
use a 3rd party solution like Kovair Omnbus or Tasktop Sync, which have connectors for both RTC and CA Clarity, use their workflow and design tools to design the exact sequence of data to flow, when and with what transformations
design, develop and support your own integration. you have to figure everything out yourself.
when I 1st started working with RTC, my company needed an integration with Salesforce Service Cloud.
none existed.. so I developed one. turned out we needed other integrations as well. and so when we reviewed the potential solutions (3 yrs after I created the Service Cloud one) we made sure that it covered Service Cloud as well, so we would have ONE solution, supported by ONE vendor, with ONE set of internal skills managing it.
