Where are stored the real-live data for RTC?

We need to use Cognos/Insight to collect live data that are being stored on Jazz DB.

RIODS is not real-live data.. it is d-1 DATA.

Any ideia?

Hello Sergio,

there is no supported way to do that.

One option would be to write a customized xdc file and framework manager data model that accesses it directly as an ODBC data source, in the same way the RQM Live data source works.

Disadvantages of this approach is that it requires an heavy customization an maintenance work over the releases.
Additionally this kind of live approach shows bad performances and can put an heavy load on the RTC instance, as all the reporting queries will be resolved directly through REST API calls. So I wouldn't really recommend it.

As an alternative you can look into document generation with Rational Publishing Engine for reports with live RTC data.

Best Regards,

Are you using a Cognos Data Manager ETL or Data Collection Component (DCC) to load data into the data warehouse?  Some customers have been able to run the DCC data collection job several times per day which will alleviate your data currency concerns.

In particular, running DCC every 15 or 30 minutes is reasonably common.
