How to debug data warehouse snapshots?

We're having a problem with some data warehouse snapshots. The charts
appear the same multiple days in a row, and it appears that the
snapshots are not being taken.

The iteration is not yet complete, and the charts stopped changing
sometime last week.

There are no errors related to the snapshot in the System Log.

I ran a manual update to the snapshot data this morning, with a result
of no additional data points. The manual snapshot ran too quickly in my
estimation, but again, there was nothing in the System Log.

Is there a way to debug the snapshot process? Can we get an entry in
our System Log to determine whether the snapshot ran, and its status?

Is there a report we can run to see when data is taken?

Thanks!

Hi Mark,

Sorry for the long delay, recently back from vacation and catching up on
the backlog. Unfortunately there's no easy way right now to get the
snapshots to log info data in the log, but we may add this in the
future. See work item 87717 if you want to track a similar (identical?)
problem. See the Data Warehouse Metrics report for an accounting of the
size of various warehouse tables over time - this should let you see
whether the warehouse is actually growing or not. Specifically, the
WORKITEM_SNAPSHOT table.

Hi James,

Yes, 87717 sounded identical to our situation. I posted there and
subscribed. We plan to upgrade to 2.0 in a few weeks, hopefully the
problem will disappear. But I'd still like trace/logging to see if the
snapshots ran.

Thanks!

Mark
