Hello,

I am trying to install the new RTC client V2.0 into my existing RSA 7.5 eclipse environment, but I keep getting this error:

Installing Rational Team Concert - Client for Eclipse IDE 2.0 is not allowed in this package group; it is not compatible with IBM Rational Software Architect for WebSphere Software 7.5.2 iFix 001. It may be installed in a different package group.

Are the two products unable to be installed under the same workspace?

Check if you have RSA included RTC Client feature installed or not. If
it is installed you should uninstall it first.

I am trying to use RSA 7.5 as RTC clent. The version of RTC server is 2.0. When I tried connecting to RTC1.0, it worked fine. But when I am trying to connect to RTC2.0, I am some error and its not connecting. The error message is below

"Client/server version mismatch logging into 'm/c name'.
CRJAZ1176I There is a version mismatch for the "com.ibm.team.repository.common.internal.IRepositoryRemoteService" service. The server version is "7" while the client version is "6". Both client and server version must match. Check the overall version of the client using Help->About and ensure it is compatible with server version "1.0" and build id "I20090618-1753".".

I updated my RSA7.5 to 7.5.3. Even then I am getting the same error. Has anyone tried to connect RSA 7.5 to RTC2.0?

The RTC client feature in RSA 7.5.x is for RTC 1.0. From what I have seen, RSA 7.5.x is based on Eclipse 3.4 and the RTC 2.0 client feature requires Eclipse 3.5 I believe.

My whole team uses RTC 2.0.0.2 with RSA 7.5.5.1. I think you need to go back into your RSA installation and uncheck RTC 1.0 (which was an optional module).

RTC 2.0 should then install.
