RTC2.0 Enterprise Edition developer license restricted to 3

HI

I have installed the released version of RTC 2.0 enterprise edition and I can allot only 3 users and if try to add anymore users it fails, whereas in the RC1 I was able to allot as many users without any limitations ..

The only difference is in beta I had users coming from an LDAP server and here I am creating .. but that should be a worry ..

Any help is great

Thanks & Regards

Hello jramakri,

that is surprising. I installed the Standard and while in trial mode it allows
for the maximal number.
Can you check in https://yourservername:9443/jazz/admin#action=com.ibm.team.repository.admin.serverStatus

Or in https://localhost:9443/jazz/admin#action=com.ibm.team.repository.admin.manageLicenses
that it shows an enterprise server is installed?
The 3 looks as if you are running an express-C version. Maybe you downloaded
the wrong server file?

Hi,
Please make sure you are not using the 1.X version of web.xml
In Rational Team Concert 2.0, the web.xml file has changed significantly. It is recommended that you start with the new 2.0-based web.xml and reapply any changes to the new file rather than copying the old version.

I've tried to install Enterprise Edition, and got the same problem.

When I tried to use bluepages LDAP, there's a notice that:

Warning: The server has reached the maximum user limit. You will not be able to increase the number of users that are assigned a Client Access License type that is counted in the server user limit.Review the License Key Management page of the Admin UI for more information.

So I import Enterprise server license and developer license v2.0 to the server, set 100000 to available, relaunch the setup guide, the problem remains.

Hello SuperWang,

3 should be included in the server license, once you upload that.
Once you uploade a developer license file you can sepcify how many you bought
and then you get these in addition to the three. Otherwise I don't know where
the problem could be.
I once failed to unzip the license file (a jar file) and tried uploading
that and ended up failing.

Hey Ralph, I am having the same problem. Enterprise allows unlimited users on the server side. I have 250 contributor client licenses and 155 developer client licenses - yet it only allows me to allocate 3 developer client licenses...

I have had no problem uploading the .jar files for the client licenses. Perhaps something is wrong with the server license jar file?

Hi All

Many thanks for the responses ..

I was able to fix this problem . it required a separate license for unlocking the number of developer licenses using "rtc_standard_developer_unlocked.jar" so now I am able to assign as many users I want :-)

Thanks
