Reporting Dilemma .... test cases with multi scripts
Perhaps this needs to be an enhancement request, but let me explain the problem first - I have one solution, and whilst it works, its not really what I was after.
Test Plan with for example 5 Test Cases Associated with it ...
Each test case from above, has multiple scripts associated with it.
So here's the dilemma ... if we execute from the test case, I need to create multiple environments that I can associate with each script - that's ok but there is no report that I can see, or viewlet, that would tell me what test scripts against a given test case were or were not executed.
I have reports that show me at the test case level, but nothing that drills down to the scripts
Has the tool therefore assumed that test cases / scripts must only be a one to one relationship .. or did we miss something here in the reporting ... to allow that ...
Perhaps something that we're looking at in 2.0 ... in the meantime does anybody have any suggestions ? the one solution I have right now is to disconnect the multiple scripts and tie them back on a one to one relationship and use a suite for the execution. Execution by schedule is then use to see the "test cases" (not scripts) that were or were not executed.
