Test Script Execution Reports in RQM

Gary Mullen-Schultz (28725536) | asked Mar 11 '15, 1:40 p.m.
Test script steps – is there a report, query, view or widget that will calculate the total number of test steps (from test scripts) and report on how many scripts have been completed to date?  If not available now, as is, would this be available if RRDI were enabled?

Hi Gary,

When you say "completed" do you mean created or executed?  From the reports perspective, there is the "Test scripts by Development State (Live)" report that will show you the Test Scripts linked to a Test Case, but it doesn't contain the number of steps.

If you use RRDI, you can find "Test Script Step" on the "Test Script" area and you could get a total per Test Script ID.  However, only the steps that are linked to a Requirement are being ETL'd by CLM to the DW.

If you are looking for executed Test Script Steps, those are not being ETL'd, so RRDI won't help you there.

Thank you,
Clara

Hi Gary,

There is no test script count available in the data warehouse or RQM Reportable REST API.  As Clara mentioned, you could calculate this value with a custom report.

Do you use weight (see https://jazz.net/help-dev/clm/topic/com.ibm.rational.test.qm.doc/topics/t_size_testeffort_all.html and https://jazz.net/help-dev/clm/topic/com.ibm.rational.test.qm.doc/topics/t_recalculate_suite_result_weight.html)?  If so, you could use one of the existing weight-based reports (see https://jazz.net/help-dev/clm/topic/com.ibm.rational.test.qm.doc/topics/qm_c_exec_reports.html).
