Hi,

We tested licenses used by users. All the users involved in test performed same operation log in to RTC and open work item. All users have CAL Rational Team Concert - Developer-Token assigned. We extracted license report from the sever. But couldn't find all the users. Could you please explain conditions to pick up the license from the license pool?

We are using CLM tools versions 4.0.1.

I am more interested in whether just log in and view work item activity consumes the license or user need to perform update, create WI, query or plan in the RTC then only he will consume the license.

Your understanding is correct. Check the below document and you will see that if you don't have a license, you still have read(R) permission in CCM.

Thanks for the reply.
We extracted full license usage log (reference to full license usage log file https://www.ibm.com/developerworks/community/blogs/nfrsblog/entry/floating_license_usage_report_on_jazz_team_server1?lang=en )and checked users entries in it but missing few users entry in this log. All the users did same operation(that's what our customer says but m not sure) they log in to RTC and open WI from their project. Could you please let me know if only log in and read WI is sufficient to get the user entry in Full License Usage Log file? if this is the case then how can i debug the missing user entries?

On /jts/admin page --> Licensing --> Issued Leases i found entries of the user with operation examples below
Server    User ID    Operation    Timeout

and list of process operations

this is the list of operations for RTC 3.0 and i couldn't find it for 4.0.1 where can i get the full list? Does the user entry gets created in license log file based on these operations?.
