Moving away from CC/CQ to CLM

Hi All,

We are a huge Clearcase shop, heavily customised CC and CQ environment. The business is planning to move away from CC/CQ to IBM CLM. Is there any case study article available for "CC/CQ migration to IBM CLM".

Cheers,

Jose

I am not aware of any articles that discuss this directly.  I would recommend talking to your local IBM contacts directly about this topic.  Here in the UK, I have colleagues that have helped examine existing CC/CQ environments with a view to migration. There will be some of your CC/CQ setup with can be duplicated directly in CLM (or even just RTC which is similar to CC/CQ in many ways).  There are some aspects of your configuration which will no longer be required in CLM, and there will be some requirement for customisation work to replace your CC/CQ customisation.  I would also suggest re-examining your current processes to see if these could be streamlined with the new features available in CLM (for example, better ways to manage approvals and "promotion" of code between environments.

Hi Anthony,

Thanks for your reply. Certainly we will engage with IBM engineers for the migration. I was thinking it would be a great help if anycone could share any case study article presented in the Innovate conferences.

Cheers,

Jose
