Has it become easier to delete or change in an already entered text in a discussion field in a work item in the new version of CLM 5.0.1?
I have tried to do an investigation regarding the subject:
*how to edit or delete comments in a JazzHub project* https://jazz.net/forum/questions/122820/how-to-edit-or-delete-comments-in-a-jazzhub-project Jennifer Hayes and Geoffrey Clemm: Informed that it was not possible around year 2007 *remove data from discussion field* https://jazz.net/forum/questions/63427/remove-data-from-discussion-field Sanfi faria: Asked if that was possible to remove an already entered text from the discussion field of a work item. Geoffrey Clemm: 'Wrote back that In 3.0.1, someone with jazz_admin privileges can "empty" a comment in a work item. But note that the comment will still be visible in the history, so that doesn't help if you want to make that comment inaccessible. As jazz_admin, you also can delete an entire work item ... in that case, it is really gone'. I can see that a work item has been created but that is still in Backlog: Enhancement 42801 (Work Item editor: Support editing of comments) https://jazz.net/jazz/web/projects/Rational%20Team%20Concert#action=com.ibm.team.workitem.viewWorkItem&id=42801 But maybe I have missed something and it has become easier to delete or change in an already entered text in a discussion field in a work item in the new version of CLM 5.0.1 then I would very much like to know that please? |

I'm not sure that this is new for 5.0.x but it is possible to delete a workitem comment if you have JazzAdmin permission. http://www-01.ibm.com/support/knowledgecenter/SSYMRC_5.0.0/com.ibm.team.workitem.doc/topics/t_empty_comment.html?lang=en Editing is still not possible.
