How Do I configure the Estimate and time Spent fields

I would like to conifgure the Time Spent, Estimate and Correction fields to in hours not duration. for example:
"1 w 1 h" - would be configured to be "36" and "1 h 30 m" would be 90 minutes - just have the estimate in hours or minutes as entered.
Can this be configured? If not how do I achieve this functionality?

Currently, the duration input fields are not configurable. Pls file an
enhancement request for this.
