Auto fill of fields in the defect form from information in RQM?
Hi,
we are using RQM and RTC v.4.0.3. When logging a defect while testing in RQM would it be possible to automatically fill out some field in the defect form that are also existing in the case or script?
E.g. My Test Case has a field with the Release information e.g "Release 1". When logging a defect, there is also a Release field. Is it possible that this field in the defect form gets the information "Release 1" automatically from the test case? Could this even be done for other fields such as Owning Team?
This would make it quicker to log a defect for the tester and would ensure that certain information are filled out.

Aug 25 '14, 2:51 a.m.This sounds like a good idea but may be hard to implement. RQM and RTC have their own data (categories, teams and etc). Even a field can have the same (literal) value in both RQM and RTC, it can mean completely different things. To achieve what you are trying to do, there should at least be field mapping going on, but I cannot see a way to do it at this stage.
